Repairing the Weave
Repairing the Tear
The game is a D&D 3.5 campaign based in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting. The game will take place in and around the Dalelands region, just south of the Moon Sea. It is a gestalt campaign, allowing players to make and play powerful characters. Loosely based on concepts borrowed from the Game of Thrones series.
The party was hired by a wealthy nobleman to assist him in securing the Baronship of the Stonelands, which will be awarded to him after he makes the area peaceful.
Several hundred years ago, the regions of the Dalelands, Corymr and Sembia were united by the conquering Shade Empire out of Anuroch, to the west. The realm was peaceful and prosperous until a magical disaster known as the Great Tear disrupted all uses of arcane magic. Many arcane spellcasters perished in the chaos, and the noble house of Jaerle was able to revolt against the Shades and seize the throne.
The Jaerle Queens, preoccupied with political intrigue within their own house and the other drow noble house, ruled with a relatively open hand and without much hassle from their subjects. However, they do steadfastly enforce a ban on all arcane magic and it is rumored that the Throne sanctions a policing strike force of mage killers that hunt down those that dare use it.Winter Break Info >> | << Shameless Cleric Druid build >>
